38.0 Wednesday 9th October – Monday 14th October

Wednesday 9th October

Good morning all, I hope you’re well.

I was up at 5am, no time for stretches, just breakfast, shower and straight out of the door to work.

I’m feeling tired but that’s down to lack of sleep over the last few days, it will pass. My energy level is similar to yesterday.

I had such a busy day but by the afternoon my energy levels were getting low and I was feeling more tired, I managed to push through and complete the things I had to do.

Time for bed and a good rest.

Thursday 10th October

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a pleasant evening.

I slept well for the first time in a few days. I’m feeling tired and energy level is low.

Breakfast eaten, no time for stretches, maybe later.

Chores completed, and then some work, but tiredness is kicking in so have decided to rest after lunch.

The reason for the tiredness is because my steroid tablets have been reduced by 50%, from having 10 steroid tablets both on a Tuesday and Wednesday, I now only have to take 10 steroid tablets on a Tuesday. My body is now having to adjust which is a good thing. I have no idea how long this will take but I think it will be for the better.

Time for bed and another good sleep. I’m still feeling tired but energy levels have been up and down today.

Friday 11th October

Good morning all, I hope you’re well.

I slept well, feeling tired but a little more energy than yesterday.

Breakfast and stretches completed, a quick shower and I met T and B for coffee and treats.

Such a lovely day. When the sun is shining on you it’s lovely, when you’re in the shade it’s cold!!!.

Had a few chores to do, also walked 3 miles today which was good but felt tired all of today, my muscles are still lacking energy. This is what withdrawal from steroids feels like. My body will adjust in time.

Spent the evening at home and resting. Hope to have an extra hour in bed tomorrow.

Compared to the last few days, today has been a relatively good day, now time for a good sleep.

Saturday 12th October

Good morning all, I hope you had a lovely evening.

I slept well, and I’m feeling less tired but muscles feel tired.

Stretches and breakfast done, had a quick shower and I think a long walk is on the cards.

It seems like everyday is the same, I wake up, see how I feel and then decide what I can do. I’m hoping with the reduced tablets, my body will slowly recover and allow me to do more exercise.

Had a lovely 6 mile walk, we got totally soaked, Dr N said we’d get a light shower, that’s the last time I ask her for a weather forecast!!! It was heavy rain, our jackets, jeans and shoes were soaked. We did have a coffee mid way.

Got back home and I fell asleep on the sofa. I must have needed the sleep, I do feel refreshed.

It’s been a pleasant evening, I’m tired but not as bad as I thought I would be considering the 6 mile walk. My muscles feel stronger as well. It’s been a good day.

Time for bed and another restful sleep, I’m glad I’m now sleeping well.

Sunday 13th October

Good morning all, I hope you’re having a good weekend.

I slept well, I’m feeling a little tired but generally good.

Breakfast and stretches completed, haircut and shower done. Won’t be long before the haircuts stop.

A few chores today, I’ve put up a curtain rail, have to start packing for my hospital stay in December, I just need to make sure I have the winter clothes ready.

May go for a walk later but all depends on how I’m feeling.

No walk, just a relaxing day, actually needed the rest.

Today I’ve felt tired, not fatigued, a little more energy. It’s will be good to see how I feel over the next couple of days, no major dip which is good.

Time for bed and another restful good nights sleep.

Monday 14th October

Good morning all, I hope you slept well.

I had a good sleep, I’m feeling less tired with a little more energy.

Ate breakfast, then I managed 60 minutes on my bike. Stretches and a shower next.

It’s been a quiet restful day, I managed to get some work done and then rested.

I’m feeling a little tired and energy levels are better than yesterday.

Time for bed and another restful good sleep ready for treatment day tomorrow.
