Good morning everyone, I hope you had a lovely evening.
I slept well but it was so cold!!!
Another early morning, I was up at 5.30am, eating breakfast by 5.45am.
After a shower, I prepared my bag for the day ahead and left home at 9.45am.
The drive was good, not much traffic, it will probably be worse on the return drive.
I arrived at the hospital in under an hour, even managed to get parking on the hospital grounds.
I’m very checked in at the Nuclear department, and now a wait.
I’ve been called and being prepared. I got talking to the nurse and he’s from Gujarat, Suraj I think. They’re expecting their first child but he wants to go back to India in January to see his family and friends. I think his wife said no way, I even said no way…it’s their first, he has to stay with his wife. I would love to hear the next conversation between him and his wife 🤣🤣🤣.

A nurse has just arrived with a large electronic trolley which keeps buzzing away.
Now I’ve been hooked up it.

It’s stopped buzzing which means the drug has been pumped into my arm. The cubicle is roomy but cold. More waiting.

Oh yeah, I’m soo hungry!!!
They’ve brought me a bed.

I was summoned, empty bladder, jacket off, trousers off, gown on.
The scan was quick, I lay down on the scanner bed and the nurse covered me and wrapped me up.
It only took about 20 minutes.
I can now eat and drink!!!
A packet of crisps and then drive home. Salt and vinegar and baked not fried!!!
The drive home was as expected, traffic and parents rushing to collect their kids. Took me an hour to get home.
Time to relax, drink lots of water so the radioactive drug filters out of my body.
It’s been a nice relaxing evening, drinking well over 4 litres of water.
Now time for bed as I’m feeling tired, chemo brain has vastly improved.
Good night all, sleep well.
❤️🙏🏽
Good Luck Jess
