45.0 Follow up face to face appointment

Good morning all, I hope you’re well.

I slept well, I’m feeling tired, muscles are achy and chemo brain is ever present.

Stretches ❌

Breakfast ✔️

Tablets ✔️

Shower ✔️

I didn’t feel like stretching this morning so I relaxed, I managed to stretch all week so missing one day is fine.

We will leave soon to go to the hospital for my appointment with my consultant.

We’ve arrived, parked up and decided to have a walk.

We ended up going for a 3 mile walk which included grabbing some lunch at one of the park cafes.

Bloods done, now we wait until I can check in.

Checked in, and have been weighed, now we wait to be called by the consultant.

The appointment went well, my progress is static which is good news. Treatment now stops for 4 weeks, as does most but not all of the tablets I take. I will have a PET scan and bone marrow biopsy in November before the stem cell process starts in December.

We’re back home.

I’ve had time to think about my appointment and the outcome was positive. My consultant is very happy with my progress. The tiredness and fatigue is the accumulation of all the tablets and chemo drugs I have been on. I have 16 weeks of the stuff in my body!!! I still need to be careful. During the next four weeks , I should be feel less tired as I’m not taking as many tablets and there’s no chemo drugs. I’m hoping I can get back on my bike!!

We watched a lovely firework display from the comfort of our home, we just opened the landing window. It was a spectacular display from the local rugby ground.

Time for bed, it’s been a long day with good news, ow ready for the next chapter.

Good night all, sleep well.
