41.0 15th Infusion Treatments (chemo)

Good morning all, I hope you had a great evening.

I slept well, woke up at 5am to start our morning routine as we have to leave the house at 7am to get to the hospital.

Breakfast eaten, no time for stretches.

Tuesday tablets:

One tablet as soon as I wake up.

14 tablets after breakfast, several more than yesterday as it’s treatment day.

2 tablets at around 5.30pm

2 tablets at around 6.30pm

Final 2 tablets 2 hours after my last meal.

We’ve arrived at the hospital, we drove around to find a disabled parking spot but they’re all taken so we’ve parked a little out.

Bloods taken, now I’m waiting for my first infusion of the day, this one is the bone strengthening infusion.

I’ve been called and about to be infused!!!

Today I’m feeling less fatigued and tired.

I’ve been infused and now I wait for my chemo injections, I’m having 2 today.

Car has been moved so now we have 3 hours of parking.

I just had to eat my packed lunch, I had breakfast at 5.15am and was getting hungry.

Checked in for my chemo treatment, I hope there isn’t a delay, all depends on whether any nurses are on sick leave.

I’ve been called, only 40 minutes delay, that’s good going.

The injections took a total of 25 minutes, and the journey home took 45 minutes.

I have one more treatment next week, followed by my monthly meeting with my consultant where we will get an update about my condition and the next steps re the stem cell transplant.

Now it’s time to rest at home.

We had a fish delivery, our order was for sea bass fillets and 2kg of Salmon, all fresh.

Just look at the quality!!!

Sea Bass and vegetables for dinner tonight.

Lovely Sea Bass fillets!!
Yum yum!!!

Just finished a lovely Sea Bass fillet with purple stem broccoli, spinach and chips, the vegetables were cooked in our new air fryer and the Sea Bass was pan fried with lots of butter!!

What a day, treatment 15 completed, the 5 minute injection is fine, it’s the bee sting injection which really stings. Both still leave skin pigmentation, they all look like a tattoo gone wrong.

I’m feeling less fatigued and tired, with a little more energy, could be the steroids.

Time for bed, I hope I can sleep.

Good night all, sleep well.

❤️🙏🏽
