26.0 Wednesday 11th September – Monday 16th September

Wednesday 11th September

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a great evening.

I slept well which was a surprise considering I had taken steroids early evening. I’m still feeling a little fatigued and tired and still lacking energy. This could be the accumulative effect of the treatment and drugs the MacMillan nurse told us about.

Stretches and breakfast completed, a quick shower and then off to work.

Back home and making lunch. I’m still feeling a mix of fatigue and tiredness, head still a little lightheaded. I’ve never felt like this the day after treatment, I usually have more energy, let’s see how the day progresses.

Well today was a different experience, I’ve felt the same all day and it’s a totally different feeling, I haven’t changed my routine so it has to be the drugs I’m taking, I just don’t know. If I’m like this tomorrow then I’m going to push myself and either get in my bike or go for a long walk. I don’t like feeling like this but it’s part and parcel of this journey I’m on and it will only make me stronger.

Time for bed and get under the covers and heat up, it’s going to be chilly.

Good night all, sleep well.

Thursday 12th September

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a good evening.

I didn’t get to sleep until 1am, has to be the steroids, and I was up at 6.30am, I did sleep well. I’m feeling less fatigued and woolly headed today.

Stretches and breakfast completed, showered and straight to work.

I’m now back home, had a snack of fruit with yoghurt and will be on my bike soon, it’s raining so no chance for a walk.

Still raining but I got on my bike trainer…

30 minutes

Now that was hard work, I pushed it and glad I managed 30 minutes. Now some lunch.

It’s been a better day today, less fatigued but still lacking energy.

Time for bed, it’s another cold night.

Sleep well everyone.

Friday 13th September

Good morning everyone, I hope you slept well.

I had a good sleep, I’m feeling a little fatigued and tired this morning and head feels woolly.

Stretches and breakfast completed, a quick shower and I’m meeting T & B for coffee and treats for B.

The sun is out but it looks chilly.

Fatigue has returned, my muscles have no energy and I’m feeling tired. It’s going to be a lazy evening and an early night.

Still feeling the same, just can’t shake this feeling. Time for bed.

Good night all, sleep well.

Saturday 14th September

Good morning all, I hope you’re all well.

I slept well, it’s an early start for us, woke up at 6am, breakfast and showered and out of the door by 8am.

Today, we are at a Myeloma conference held by Myeloma UK.

We arrived back home at about 5.30pm. The conference was very informative, we both learnt lots about Myeloma from current medication, new medication, how myeloma affects people, the help and resources available to us. There were experts and doctors presenting as well as patients who are going through this journey. Myeloma treatment is developing and changing at such a fast rate so the future looks bright.

There was a lot to take in today and new connections were made.

I feel a little tired, the woolly head feeling is known as chemo head which makes perfect sense.

Time for bed and some rest.

Good night all, sleep well.

Sunday 15th September

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a lovely evening.

I slept well, feeling a little tired with a slight lower back pain, chemo head is still present.

Stretches and breakfast completed, haircut and shower soon. The weather looks good so I think we’ll venture out for a walk. I think I’ll try and push things a little today.

Managed a 3.5 mile woodland walk at our local park. It felt good to be out and the weather was pleasant. I feel a little tired but generally good, chemo head is always here.

Lunch was a healthy pearl barley risotto with mackerel fillets.

Very tasty!!

The weather has turned, it’s cloudy with the occasional rain shower. Time for some rest.

It’s been a good evening, I’m feeling tired but good, I’m glad I pushed myself today, it’s a new learning curve which I’m slowly adjusting to.

Time for bed and a good resting sleep.

Good night all, sleep well.

Monday 16th September

Good morning everyone, I hope you slept well.

I had a good sleep, I’m feeling a little tired this morning but am trying to push through, chemo head or chemo brain, both are the same thing is ever present. I’ve stretched and am now preparing breakfast. It’s going to be a nice day today so will make plans after my shower.

We went for a nice 3.5 mile walk, lovely sunny day. I’m feeling a little tired but I did push it, I hope I don’t regret it later.

It’s been a good ish day, I’m feeling tired and still have a chemo head but generally I’m feeling ok. Compared to last week, today has been the complete opposite. Just got to take each day as it comes.

Time for bed and get some sleep to be ready for tomorrow.

Good night all, sleep well.

❤️🙏🏽
