Good morning, hope you’re all well. It’s Tuesday already, and we all know what happens on a Tuesday!! Yep, it’s treatment day.
I slept well last night, only had to get up once, the body really does hold a lot of water, because of the tablets just before bed, I have to drink water whereas I used to stop drinking liquids 2 hours before bedtime. It’s all about adjusting to the new routine.
Early morning tablet taken, followed by my usual stretches, I need to start my workout routine, that will happen soon.
Usual breakfast today, nothing special, followed by 2 tablets. I’ve had to pack lunch to have at the hospital as I need to take 14 tablets an hour before my treatment and they have to be taken after food. So timetable for today is lunch, tablets, blood test, chemo treatment. I know how to have fun 😜. My backpack is loaded with water, food, book and tablets, ready to go. I leave at midday.
Nisha is at work today but we will meet up back at home this evening.
Typical UK weather here, it’s warm but no sun, just rain.
Journey in wasn’t too bad, traffic was flowing. London is full of tourists, I think most are parents and siblings of medical students. Lunch followed by tablets will be at 1.45pm. The cafe area is quite busy, lots of people waiting and staring at the patient calling screen. The only people eating appear to be staff but everyone is looking at their phone.
Time for some sudoku, I’ve got time to kill!!
Note to self, always store corn cake sandwiches in an airtight container!!! 😜🤣
Blood test completed, they have to rush the results to the chemo team before they can begin.
Injection 1 of 2 has been given, now have an hours observation and then injection 2 of 2 and I think I can then go home.
Lucky I brought my book!!
Injection 2 of 2 has been administered and I’m free to go home!! Even the sun has come out in celebration!!!

Home sweet home!!! Traffic was manic but it was rush hour, there were more weekend drivers on the road than usual, I think it’s because it’s holiday season.
No after effects, feeling good, just a little tired, I think that’s because it’s so hot and I need to drink more water.
Dinner is bubbling away on the stove and should be ready in 15 minutes. See, a man can multitask 😜.
Now that was a nice dinner, no dessert today, not needed, just the usual 2 tablets. Next on the agenda is to relax and an early night. 2 more tablets to take just before bedtime. I’ve also got to remove the puncture wound dressings before I fall asleep.
These dressings are giving me a free painful waxing, at this rate, I’m going to have hairless sides to my stomach 🤣🤣🤣. My arms are yet to look like a drug addict 🤣🤣🤣.
Anyway, final 2 tablets have been taken, teeth have been scrubbed and time to sleep, I have some work to do tomorrow so it’s an early start.
